hey apw,
It’s my kid’s second birthday! I know, right, time flies. Four seconds ago I was meeting him in the hospital for the first time, and now when I walk out of the room the sound of his nonstop conversation follows right behind me. In short, I’m off eating cake and making pie, and I hope you all are getting ready for a lovely holiday. Next week we dive into all the fun of gift guides and more, but for now, pie break!
For those of you hanging out at your desks waiting for the damn office to close, may I present to you this list of links to read, and your open thread.
XO,
MEG
P.S. I wrote this before the Ferguson decision was announced, and I wanted to come back to this to add a note to acknowledge how awful what happened is. (I started crying during the press conference, even though I knew exactly what was coming, and then went to sleep to helicopters circling my house, which mixed some surreal with the horrible.) I’m not sure I have anything articulate to say yet, other then fuck all of this. For those of you that have gotten to the point where you have smart things to say, may I present the comments. For the rest of you, we’ve rounded up some stuff to read and some places to donate.
