Hey APW,
If you follow APW on Instagram (which you should, cough), then you know this week was the official un-bridesmaid wedding that I’ve been shopping for all month (pink ASOS dress was a hit by the way). Michael and I took the Friday night red-eye to New York and spent four days celebrating the wedding of my BFF, gallivanting around New York with some of our favorite chosen family. And even though the forecast predicted a ninety percent chance of rain on the wedding day itself, it held out for a solid twenty-four hours so that we could have a good time and not ruin our hair or makeup. (Thanks universe!) I cried like a baby, ate too many oysters, and got drunk on the craft cocktail version of fruit punch (the crying and the fruit punch may have been tangentially related). But perhaps more importantly, I spent four days not worrying about work or my to-do list. Which is actually… kind of a huge deal for this guy. Is this how it feels when you prioritize work/life balance? I wouldn’t know. But I want more of it. In other news, thanks to this photo, I just realized that my husband and I have the same haircut. Not sure where to go with that…
This weekend I’ll be catching up on the last few episodes of OITNB that I have left, and trying out my brand new bicycle. (Wish me luck. It’s just like…riding a bike, right?) And with that, it’s your happy hour, so get to it!
