Hip & Modern Seasonal Decor For Pandemic Times

Just a few weeks ago I was talking about how I couldn’t get over the fact that Michael’s was playing Christmas music before Halloween. Seasonal decor is in fact, supposed to be seasonal, right? But I’ve come around to the fact that people are looking for any bits of happy they can hang onto right now, and for a lot of people that seems to come in the form of decorating.

And I’m not hating on seasonal decorators, I’m proudly one myself. But hear me out. Can we not just skip right over fall this year?

Fall is a time of gathering, reflection, and celebrating the harvest… AKA, gratitude. And just because  gathering is looking different this year, doesn’t mean we need to skip over the reflection and gratitude… and my favorite seasonal colors. And Winter officially starts on December 21st y’all, meaning we have a little more time to celebrate good ‘ol Harvest Season.

With this year’s holiday celebrations looking more intimate than ever, I’m looking for ways to feel festive AF even if I can’t have the traditional family get together. Plus, with the way time has been going (we’re quickly approaching December, how even?) I think it’s important for a lot of people to pause and mark the Harvest Season and not just let it pass us by. So I’m leaning into seasonal decorations. Wreaths, candles and fancy tableware. The whole shebang.

But also, I’m not a monster. Your girl likes to plan ahead. If I’m being completely honest, I start planning my holiday wrapping paper theme in like August of every year. Ridiculous? Maybe. But I enjoy it. (I could talk wrapping paper all day so holler in the comments, I’m here for it.) So on that note, if you want prep seasonal decor for the winter season, I GET IT.
